What you believe about any subject determines what you do or don’t do regarding that subject. And what you do, your behavior, determines the results you get.
If you believe it isn’t necessary to stop at red lights, and you generally go right through them, there will come a time that the results will not be good for you.
If you believe your marriage relationship is bad and can’t get better, you will not do anything different, other than perhaps get a divorce process going, and your marriage will not get better and will likely get worse or end.
If you believe you can’t do something, you won’t likely be able to do it unless and until you change your mind, change your belief. That change in what you believe will lead to you finding ways to do that thing, if you believe you can, and the new behavior may well lead to you doing that thing successfully.
I’m Dr. Ed, a medical doctor, and I’ve devised what I call the BEST System for all of us to manage our lives. BEST stands for Belief Enrichmnet & Substitution Training. Once you accept that to get anything you want in your life requires certain steps to get that accomplished, your good life management will begin to get you more and more of what you want.
But to be a good life manager, all of us need to have three essential emotional necessities understood and being built up by each of us. First we need adequate Self-Love, which includes self-respect, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
Once we adequately value and love ourselves, we then have love to share with other people. aka Shared-Love, whether family, friends, and that special person we want for a true romantic love relationship. The third and final emotional need we all have, is for Self-Expression, which is showing ourselves and others what we are able to do and accomplish.
Once those three emotional needs are understood and we do our best to achieve them, as described in my BEST System Guides available on the STORE page, we can then go after any specific item or aspect of our lives, such as having a normal weight, not being dependent on abnormal use of food, or on smoking, alcohol, narcotics; and becoming good at winning in sports and other contests, building successful careers, improving marriage or oather relationships, ending insomnia and nightmares, etc. My very low cost Guides for each of these are available on the STORE page, and all of them can be purchased for $15! Or one of them for $9! The Guides do not seek to sell you anything else. This is self-help that is totally spelled out for you for each subject. For each subject, you need to read the beliefs of people who do not have that issue solved, and the beliefs of those who do. You are then shown how to improve your beliefs to be better able to adjust your behaviors. The behaviors that work and that don’t work are also listed, and the process of adapting the beliefs you need, and ending the ones that are causing trouble, are all spelled out, including the Review and Rehearse process it takes to be sure you’re making the changes to get the results you want in your life!
